Elizabeth Kingston.  Ballymartin Herefords founded in 1947 by Gus Kingston, my father, with 3 cows bought with his own money he had earned selling cattle at the age of 12.  Since 1952, there have been no new females bought into the herd. My father always bred from the very best stock sires he could buy and always with the objective of breeding cattle that perform to the true qualities of the breed. We have never left that principle.

There are currently  47 4and 5 star females (replacement ) in the  herd and 18  4 and 5 star males which is a demonstration of that  genetic inheritance
